What is TPO Roofing?
TPO in roofing stands for Thermoplastic Polyolefin, which is a single-ply white membrane widely used for commercial and residential roofing purposes. TPO is an excellent option for you if you live in hotter areas with more sunshine, as this roofing material will help keep your room cooler. TPO membranes are manufactured in sheets that range from 10, 12, to 20 feet wide. These sheets are then rolled up and taken to the commercial facility, where they’re ready to be installed. TPO roofing cost varies in price but for an average of 20,000 sq. feet commercial roof, will likely cost you between $3.50 and $7.50 per square foot.
Different Types of TPO Roofing
Like other single-ply membrane roofs, TPO roofs can be divided into three categories based on the installation method. This will be ballasted, mechanically fastened, or chemically adhered to the insulation. These roofs come in many colors, including white, our most common type. However, black and gray TPO roofs are available for residential and commercial needs.
